Hose
Hoses are flexible components used to convey fluids within hydraulic systems, requiring simultaneous compliance with pressure load, media compatibility, and environmental adaptation requirements. KASTER products encompass multiple types including braided, spiral-wrapped, and thermoplastic varieties, with core characteristics as follows:
Braided Hoses: Represented by EN 853 1SN/2SN and EN 857 1SC/2SC standards, these feature an inner layer of oil-resistant synthetic rubber, reinforced by 1-2 layers of high-strength steel wire braiding. The outer layer offers abrasion and ozone resistance, suitable for medium-pressure systems (maximum working pressure 400 bar). Examples include the 7301 series 1SN hose, compatible with mineral oil, water, and air media, operating within a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
Spiral Hose: Examples include the EN 856 4SP/4SH/R13 series, featuring 4-6 layers of steel wire spiral reinforcement. The inner rubber layer is oil-resistant and crush-resistant, while the outer layer withstands harsh environments. Suitable for ultra-high-pressure systems (maximum working pressure 420 bar), such as the 7309 series 4SH hose, ideal for high-pressure hydraulic equipment and heavy machinery applications.
Thermoplastic Hose: Represented by the EN 855 R7/R7TM series, featuring an oil-resistant thermoplastic polymer inner layer, fiber-braided reinforcement, and an abrasion-resistant thermoplastic polyurethane outer layer. Lightweight with excellent flexibility, operating at 175-325 bar, suitable for medium-low pressure systems and lightweight equipment.
Media and Temperature: Compatible with non-corrosive media including mineral oils, vegetable oils, water-glycol, and air. Select models (e.g., high-pressure water cleaning hose 7314 series) withstand 150°C hot water. Standard operating range: -40°C to +100°C, with short-term tolerance up to +125°C.
